# How can I assign external tickets dynamically?

Customers often ask how they might accomplish the following use case:

**As a Nucleus user, I want to enter a dynamic value for external ticket assignment, so that I can define general rule conditions for vulnerability ticket creation and have the ticket assigned to the relevant owner in my external system**

Previously, there would need to be a ticketing automation rule created for every assignee of a vulnerability, which can be a painstaking process for VM leaders.

Now, Nucleus can assign tickets dynamically, mapping assignees of tickets to external systems based on information in Nucleus.
