Introducing the Software Page in VIP (Beta)
The Software page in VIP is designed to expand your visibility beyond vulnerabilities alone. It aims to offer a powerful dataset that maps known vulnerabilities not just by CVE, but by the actual software products impacted—giving teams a higher-level view of exposure and control over what matters most to them.
Whether your organization focuses exclusively on Microsoft products, or you run an Apple-only environment, the Software page allows you to filter out irrelevant noise and focus on software you actually use. By monitoring specific software, you'll be notified whenever a new vulnerability is mapped to that software—without needing to constantly refine metadata-driven searches.

How It Works
The Software page is powered by Common Platform Enumeration (CPE) data associated with vulnerabilities. We parse and normalize every CPE we can find across vulnerability sources, group them by software product, and allow you to monitor those software products directly. Instead of crafting searches around vulnerability metadata, you can now select softwares like “Microsoft Exchange” or “Apache Struts” and let VIP alert you when new vulnerabilities are associated.
Key Components
‘All’ tab: Browse all known vulnerable softwares we've mapped, where you can set up monitoring notifications
‘Monitored’ tab: View and manage the softwares you've opted to monitor
