Overview
Nucleus Custom Dashboards provides an intuitive, drag-and-drop editor that empowers Security Leaders, Security Executives, and their teams to build personalized dashboards tailored to their specific needs. This powerful feature allows users to visualize and monitor their organization's vulnerability management metrics in real-time, enabling data-driven decision making and improved security posture.
Built upon Nucleus's comprehensive library of best practice Vulnerability Management metrics, Custom Dashboards offers a complete view of your organization's risk profile, threat intelligence insights, remediation performance, compliance status, and more. The intuitive interface makes it easy to create, customize, and share dashboards that provide actionable insights at a glance.

Usage
Accessing Dashboards
Navigate to the Dashboard List page by selecting Dashboards in the left navigation panel:

From the Dashboard List you can:
Open a dashboard in view mode by clicking on the dashboard Name.
Edit by clicking on the pencil icon under Actions to open a dashboard in edit mode.
Delete a dashboard by clicking on the red x under Actions.
Edit dashboard Properties (name, description, sharing) by clicking the menu under Actions.
Create a new dashboard by clicking the New Dashboard button.
Creating Dashboards
Creating a New Dashboard:
From the Dashboard list, click the New Dashboard button in the upper right corner.
This will open the dashboard editor in a new, blank dashboard, and automatically prompt you to add your first dashboard widget.
Add Widgets:
Use the search or quick filter menu on the left to find and select metric you wish to add:

Name: Enter the title to display for the widget.
Description: Optional. If provided, an info icon will appear next to the widget name, allowing you to provide further descriptive information about the widget contents.
Display Type: Select how you would like the metric visualized. Available options by vary based on the metric selected to display in the widget.
Group By: When multiple Asset Groups are selected, this controls how you want to group the visualization:
By Severity/Status: Selected severities/statuses will appear as groupings on the axis, selected asset groups will be represented as series (legend items) on the chart as shown in the image above.
By Asset Group: Selected asset groups will appear as groupings on the axis, selected severities/statuses will be represented as series (legend items) on the chart.
Asset Groups: choose an asset group to display for the selected metric, or select multiple to compare the metric across asset groups.
Severities (or Status): Depending on the metric, you may have the option to select either the severity levels or statuses to include.
Show data labels: Check this box to display data labels on your widget.
Click Add Widget to place the widget on your dashboard.
You are now in dashboard ‘Edit Mode’. Continue adding Widgets using the Add Widget button.
Save Your Dashboard:
When finished adding and arranging widgets, click Save to save your new dashboard.
When prompted, enter a Name and optional Description for your dashboard, then click Save.
View vs. Edit Mode
View Mode
The default mode when opening a dashboard.
Displays all widgets in their current saved configuration.
Allows interaction with widgets but not editing or rearranging.
Use this mode for day-to-day monitoring and analysis.
Edit Mode
Accessed by clicking the Edit (pencil icon) under Actions from the Dashboard List, or by clicking the Edit Dashboard button when viewing a dashboard.
Allows addition, removal, and rearrangement of widgets.
Provides access to dashboard properties and sharing options.
While in Edit Mode, you can:
Add new widgets
Edit existing widgets (via the menu in the upper-right corner of each widget)
Delete widgets
Rearrange the dashboard layout
Access dashboard properties
Working with the Layout Editor
Custom Dashboards offers a flexible, drag-and-drop layout system with the following features:
Column Layout:
Each Dashboard can have up to 4 columns.
By default, new dashboards start as a single column layout.
Widgets can span multiple columns
Widget Placement: When dragging a widget on the dashboard, there are 4 drop targets:
Swap: Drag-and-drop onto the middle of another widget to exchange positions:

Add Column Left/Right: Drag-and-drop onto the left or right 20% of another widget to create a new column:

Add Row: Drag-and-drop to the bottom of the dashboard to create a full span row:

To edit or delete a widget, click the menu icon in the upper-right corner of the widget:

Dashboard Sharing
Custom Dashboards can be saved as either private or public:
By default, dashboards are private and only visible to their creator.
Dashboards can be made public, making them visible to all Nucleus users.
Configuring Dashboard Visibility
Access the dashboard's Properties from:
The Actions menu on the Dashboard List page.
The Properties button while editing a dashboard.
Select Private (default) or Public (visible to all Nucleus users):

Manage Public Dashboards Permission
A new permission called Manage Public Dashboards has been introduced (Global Administration > Roles):

By default, this permission is only granted to users with the ‘Project Admin’ role.
NOTE: Users with this permission can view and edit all Public Dashboards, regardless of creator.
