Mark Vulnerability as Exploitable or Not Exploitable

Prev Next

Overview

Traditional scanning tools don't have the whole picture and leave you without essential visibility into your vulnerabilities and risk. Nucleus gives you the ability to mark findings as exploitable in bulk or one at a time in order to aid in tracking and managing vulnerabilities. If you want to mark a finding or multiple findings as exploitable or not exploitable within Nucleus, you can do so in the following way.

Mark a finding as exploitable or not exploitable

  1. From within a Nucleus project, navigate to the Global Dashboard > Select your project > Vulnerabilities > Active page. You should see a list of all the vulnerabilities present in the current project.

  2. Scroll down or filter to see the vulnerability or vulnerabilities you want to mark as exploitable and select it/them.

  3. Click the Modify button and a pop-up modal appears.

  4. In the pop-up modal click the Set exploitability option under Vulnerability Attributes.

  5. From the dropdown choose whether you want to set the vulnerability or vulnerabilities to Exploitable or Not Exploitable.

  6. Click the Start Bulk Action button to initiate the process.

The new status(es) will persist even when new scan data pertaining to that finding has been uploaded.
