Nucleus enables you to ingest your Carbon Black vulnerability data into Nucleus using the Carbon Black connector.

The connector uses the APIs provided by Carbon Black to seamlessly ingest vulnerability data into various Nucleus projects for use in analysis, triage, automation, and reporting.

Create the Carbon Black API key

Before setting up the Carbon Black connector, you will first need to create an API key in Carbon Black for the connector to use.

  1. Log in to Carbon Black.
  2. Create an API access level with the following permission (.notation name) functions:
    • For device, select Read permission.
    • For vulnerabilityAssessment.data, select Read permission.
  3. Create an API key with the access level you created in the previous step.
  4. After creating the API key, you will be given an API ID and API secret key which you will use when configuring the Carbon Black connector.

Configure the Carbon Black connector

  1. Log in to your Nucleus project.
  2. From the navigation bar on the left, under Integration Hub, select Connector Setup.
